We’re looking for a Sales Specialist (SSp) to join our growing team; a motivated professional who thrives in an outbound sales environment, loves developing customer relationships, and is passionate about driving commercial success.
Purpose of the Role
The Sales Specialist (SSp) drives new business growth by identifying, converting, and developing veterinary clinic customers through proactive outbound activity.
Working collaboratively with the Country Sales Manager (CSM), Customer Experience (CE), and Marketing teams, the SSp will be pivotal in ensuring clinics move smoothly from awareness to first order, and from initial purchase to range adoption and revenue expansion.
This role accelerates IMS Euro’s market penetration by delivering consistent, data-driven sales activity that increases customer acquisition, conversion, and share of wallet while reflecting IMS’s promise of quality, value, and reliability.
Reporting Line
The Sales Specialist (SSp) reports directly to their aligned Country Sales Manager (CSM), who provides coaching, prioritization, and local sales strategy direction.
While the SSp and CSM work closely, accountability for day-to-day outbound sales performance sits with the SSp. The CSM retains responsibility for the overall sales target in the territory, with the SSp’s target nested within it.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation, Qualification, Nurturing & Conversion
- Proactively engage potential clients via outbound calls, emails, face-to-face where necessary, and social media to create new sales opportunities.
- Effectively nurture leads to move them through the sales funnel, ensuring that key opportunities are converted and developed.
- Appointment Setting: Set up both initial and follow-up appointments for yourself (and/or the Country Sales Manager), supporting efforts to grow veterinary clinic market share.
- Pipeline Development: Create and manage a pipeline of prospective customers that qualify as lead opportunities to help grow MS.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with new and existing clients, providing regular product and service updates to maximize sales opportunities.
- Sales Pipeline Tracking: Monitor customer interactions and ensure timely follow-ups at each stage of the sales process, from lead generation to post-purchase.
- Customer Data Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, contact details, and sales progress within CRM tools to facilitate seamless information sharing.
Drive Outbound Sales & Marketing Campaigns
- Help execute outbound marketing campaigns aimed at increasing product awareness, customer loyalty, and overall sales.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Department to acquire prospective customers through campaigns, emails, social media, etc.
Customer Feedback & Market Insights
- Be the Voice of the Customer: continually review market conditions and customer reactions, providing feedback that informs IMS business strategy and objectives.
- Gather feedback from customers to inform product improvements and contribute insights that shape business strategy.
Product Expertise
- Educate customers on IMS Euro products and the value proposition from IMS.
Collaboration with Internal Teams
- Work closely with IB sales, marketing, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure customer needs are met and to provide a seamless experience from sales to delivery.
